Rating: - the best game ever of nintendo.
this is a cool game because mario gets all the fame so luigi gets the star and roll and luigi is not a baby if he went in the haunted mansion to get his bro.
and i like the under dog but it has good grafics and most of my friends took 4 years to get to king boo and catch all 50 boos theres a big reward its the best games you should buy it.
Rating: - Luigi's Haunted Mansion
This had Mario kidnapped and turned into a picture and luigi fights King Boo and Bowser to set him free! This was the first Mario Game to feature Elvin Gadd. ( Prof. E Gadd ). The types of ghosts you enter is an old lady, librarian, orange ghost, blue ghost, occasional color ghosts, rats, boos, tall pink ghosts. It never showed Luigi winning a contest, it was good to improve Toad into this game and the best action Mario game. It was like a mystery type game and it did like relate to Suoper Mario Sunshine. Luigi can't really jump, there is a passage where you enter through a mirror, Idon't see fasionation in this game but it was another poor game just like Mario Party 5.
Rating: - This Game Is Frightfully Awesome!
Nintendo didn't have a traditional Super Mario Game ready for the Gameube at launch, but they had this game instead...which starred Mario's younger brother Luigi. A lot of people were skeptical about this game, thinking it was just a gimmick and such. In fact, to this day there's a lot of people who put this game down, including X-Play's Adam Sessler, who actually had the nerve to say this game sucks! But HE'S the one who sucks, because this game is awesome!
My only complaint about this game is that it's a bit too short, but it's a non-stop thrill ride to the end! Who could have ever guessed that sucking up ghosts in a vacuum could be so addicting? After a while, vacuuming ghosts becomes like second nature and you can't get enough of it. The thing that's fun is trying to vacuum them a certain way in order to shake out the big pearls and such! The more valuables you collect, the better ranking you'll score at the end of the game. If you suck out all of the big pearls from a major ghost, you'll score the gold framed painting of that particular ghost. The best I ever did was a 'B' ranking. I still don't know what I could have possibly missed? You can find money and jewels in nearly everything...chandeliers, couches, cabinets, vases, the refridgerator, even the toilet! And let's not forget the wiley and quick "Gold Mice" that occasionally appear! Oh, and also by watering plants.
The main plot of the game is to rescue your brother Mario, who was trapped inside of a painting! The final showdown with King Boo is pretty cool! This will alway's be one of my all-time favorite games and I REALLY hope to see a sequel some day soon! This game deserves the 5-star rating I gave it and more.
Rating: - Buy it, Love it
The graphics, unique storyline, and fixed camera angles of this game create a unique experience that can't be found in any other games. It's satisfying to play because the "stages" (to draw a parallel with the Super Mario games of the past) are so short and there are hidden secrets to unlock everywhere in such a big spooky mansion.
Once you beat it, you will want to go back and try to earn more money. It won't be a dull repeat of the first time because the ghosts are stronger and will take away more hearts than in your first time finishing the game. Money will be harder to earn as well. In the European version, the sides of the house are also reversed in order to make beating the game a second time more challenging.
All in all an addictive game, if you're not too lazy to search for the rewarding and fun secrets locked in the mansion.
Rating: - One of Nintendos greatest games!!!
this is like a totally awsome game. and i dont care what those other reviews say. yes im a kid. but believe me. i know what a truely good video game is. iv'e certainly played alot of them. luigi's mansion isnt just about going around catching ghosts. in the words of nintendo power: "saying luigi's mansion is about just catching ghosts, is like saying super mario 64 is about a guy stuck in a castle" Luigi's mansion is full of puzzles and ghosts. The mansion has lots and lots of rooms. The game is short though. But when you beat the game, there is another mansion you can play. depending on how much money you got, the 2nd mansion is different. The graphics are quite stunning. things can look a little blockey, but what do you want for a 2001 game. The controls are difficult at first, but youll be a master at them in no time. You have to combine the flashlight with the poltergust 3000. You use the c-stick to aim, but its pretty easy. With your vacume and your flashlight, comes some upgrades that you will get later on. Fire, Water, and Ice. This game is an amazing demontration of the gamecubes graphical capability for that time. Another thing is the ghosts themselves. They are designed buitifully.
This game is just plain amazing. I would DEFINITELY recomend this to anyone. Mario/Luigi fan or not. I doubt you will be dissapointed. This definitly one of nintendos better games. (the best series' over all would be legend of zelda, metroid, and super mario.
GET. THIS. GAME.
