Like NFL 2K3, NBA 2K3 is presented in the patented ESPN style. The game has all the sights and sounds of the NBA: the pomp and circumstance of pregame introductions, accurate arena re-creations, realistic player animations and sizes, and fluid dribbling and shooting (including crossover moves and the ability to change shot direction in midair). This game is nearly perfect in every aspect of basketball. It has great gameplay, graphics, sound, and control.
Gameplay: The game offers a variety of modes including Exhibition, Season, Playoffs, Franchise, and Street. Franchise mode is deep with the ability to hire coaches and do rookie scouting. Street mode offers exciting gameplay with new moves and monster slams.
Graphics: Players look like their real NBA counterparts. They move and react very realistically. The crowd now looks awesome with 3-D models in the front rows. The stadiums are beautifully done and look just like the real ones.
Sound: The menus music is sweet. They have that ESPN flavor to them. All the basketball sounds, such as the sound made by swishing a shot, are wonderfully done. During games you hear players, crowd, and coaches talking. The music play during games are very NBA like. In addition, the commentary is excellent and offers a great amount of phrases that rarely repeat.
Control: The control configuration is very simple and easy to master. There are a variety of moves that you can make players do such as crossover dribbles, spin moves, alley-oops, and diving for loose balls. The control is deadly responsive and accurate.
Overall: If you haven't played this game then you're missing out on the best basketball game ever made. Aside from the amazing gameplay, graphics, and music, this game offers tons of features that are very unique and can be found in no other basketball games such as the All-Star teams from the 50s-90s, the Create-A-Team feature, and the ESPN Style Presentation.

In this game you can choose to play a season, multiple seasons, or play on street courts. In Season and Franchise modes the game keeps lots of statistics including league leaders, team standings, injuries, and much more. You can trade, sign, draft, and edit players. You can also sign coaches and do rookie scouting. The game even let you create players and teams. I have played many basketball games but this one is by far the best basketball game in terms of gameplay. It's an awesome game that also has many cool features such as the ESPN style presentation to keep you playing.
