this is just a card that lets you buy wii ware and virtual console games. i found that buying a wii points card off of amazon.com is better cause it is sometimes cheaper than buying it at the store or using a credit card to get points.

the stuff on the wii shop channel is pretty good, you shouldn't really buy stuff there if you dont know if its good unless you read a review for that game

You need this to buy Mega Man 9. Why have you not purchased and downloaded Mega Man 9 yet??

With the Wii points you can download those old school games you want to replay. Also, you can download new, exclusive games like MegaMan 9, which you can't get in a regular store.

First off, in response to the "One Star Ratings", who say that this is not worth it because the shipping puts it over $20:

That statement only holds water when this product is purchased alone. With purchases of several items, eventually you'll get free shipping.

I love the virtual console. I think it is a very good idea to allow people to buy classic games without the hassle of buying ancient consoles and such.

I recommend buying this with several other items in order to get your money's worth, or just buying them with a credit card on the Wii Shop Channel. ('Cept with a credit card it has tax! ;) )

If you own a Wii then there really isn't a point to buying this card at a retail store when you can online unless you feel like paying in cash. I do think Nintendo is charging to much for points seeing as these games are about ten years old but some are worth it. I'd recommend buying atleast two of these cards off of Amazon.com because the shipping's free if you order atleast two and you won't have to spend and extra 3 or more dollars on tax depending on where you live.
