Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Baby Pals - DS Very cute game!
I bought this game from GameStop for 20 bucks and have been playing this game none stop. I started out with a virtual baby boy which I named Dakota he grew to 14 month's old in 3 day's time the second time I played the game I chose a virtual baby girl which I named Kylie she's 10 month's old. The third baby I adopted is JR it stand's for JasonRyan he's 6 month's old. But I play the one with baby Dakota more because he's my favorite in the game. Oh and I found out you can only adopt up to 3 babies so I adopted 3 and you can also erase a baby if you want to. This is my absolute favorite game. So if you like babies then get this game it's totally awesome. I hope they make a Baby Pals 2 game. They already made 2 other game's called My Baby Girl and My Baby Boy. This is a really fun game and really addictive to play. In case your wondering you use the stylus alot in this game on the touch screen so if I were you before you buy this game get the screen protector because you'll need it for this game. It's more of a simulation game as to how to take care of a real baby but yet a very fun game.

UPDATE: As of 11/16/08 my 21st birthday I got My Baby Boy DS game and absolutely love it and still play Baby Pals DS game a lot too.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Fun for younger girls, room for improvement however
This game was far better than Imagine Babyz, and much more of what I expected from a baby care game. Alot of the mini-games on Imagine Babyz are frustrating and hard, while most of the mini-games on this game are fairly easy-a bit too easy at times. Overall it was fun, I played it til the end, when my baby was all 'grown up'. However, there are a few things that could've been improved upon.

*You can buy toys for your baby, but when you play with baby with the toys you spent your hard earned money on, you dont get near as many points as if you had just played peek-a-boo (I guess that is a lot like real life, spend a fortune on a big toy and your kid wants to play with the box :P)

*Alot of the tank top dresses and various other outfits dont look right once you put them on your baby. The graphics mess up and get pixelated in the wrong places. Not a major deal, but slightly annoying.

*Most of the hairstyles you can choose from are nothing like what a babies hair would look like. I guess I'm more of a 'realist', but there were only 2 or 3 that I could consider using on my virtual baby.

*Baby stops growing at 14 months, and the game doesnt even tell you its fully grown either.

*When your baby reaches 14 months, you have to waste 3 meals to feed the baby one time, and you get the same amount of points no matter which difficulty level meal you feed the baby.

Overall it was fun though, and I can see young girls especially liking the game. Hopefully if there is a sequel, there will be vast improvements.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Continuous Fun
My 7-year old daughter wanted this for her birthday and 5 months later is still playing it. She loves taking care of and watching her babies grow. My 5-year old son enjoys playing it as well.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Helpful!
This was very useful to me! Whenever my kids misbehaved, I'd say "Settle down or you each get twenty minutes of baby pals!" Wiping the baby's dirty virtual behind and poop, staring at a creepy little unusual, nude virtual human, and endless minutes of saying "Peek A Boo!" Into the DS mike is the last thing on their fun list. Even though my kids hate it and have a horrible time with it, I'd rate it a 5 in overall in its useful torturous punishment to scare young children into behaving and a 5 in fun for me because with a miserable threat of baby pals the kids won't argue with the babysitter and let me have some personal time. But because my kids hate the actual game and I only love it's great discipline method, I am forced to rate it the lowest rating possible. My kids may hate this game, but I think it's the best thing that's ever happened to me! Thanks, Baby Pals!
