When I first started playing Starfox Adventures, it seemed okay enough to keep my attention. Sometime after the beginning of the game, I began to notice the brilliance of this game. It is truly one of the better puzzle-solving/adventure/action games on the Game Cube. The atmosphere is resemblant of Indiana Jones with a fox instead of Indiana Jones. The tactic for solving puzzles seemed not so obvious in the beginning of the game, but soon enough became clear without being a giveaway every time a new puzzle came along. The use of the side-kick Tricky was brilliant and yet super cool. The game is expansive and wide allowing you to talk to different dinosaurs throughout the game and explore a little. The store in the game has some benefit but is not a spectacular addition to the game. The only really difficult part for an experienced gamer might be the strength test and the pterodactyl flight shooter. This game would be good really for everyone, even though it might get a bit hard at times for young children or inexperienced gamers to figure out. It will help build their skills as a gamer. This game is awesome like Star Fox Assault, but for different reasons. While I think the graphics, character models, and environments are slightly better in StarFox Assault, the hugeness of the environments and surroundings and the interactive environments in StarFox Adventures must have really pushed Game Cube hardware to the limit. I think I only found two places of minor slowdown in the game that were almost not even noticeable, except to someone really wary. The framerate for the most part is exceptional. Once the game is done, however, the game has not much to replay it for other than if you want to play through it a second time. Sincerely consider giving this game a chance because you might really enjoy it, especially since you can probably find it now for under $20. StarFox Adventures is simply one of the best games on Game Cube.

The missions are really boaring!!! i got it yesterday, now i want to re-sell it!!!!!!! STARFOX is not like this! i love starfox but when this game came out i hated it! it would have been better if krystal was saved in space. when STARFOX assault came out i loved it!!! i give it 5 stars *****. The publisher Rare should have not published it. IN other words Namco is the best!!!! i hope the next one is better than star fox assault.
I heard on TV it missed its goals. it missed its goals by 100000!!!!!!!! The voice of starfox sucked and slippy's voice was terrible!!!! Don't buy this game!!!

Very simple. This game tries to be Zelda, but it isn't. No, this game is not a shooter like the two previous Starfox games. This is a 3rd person adventure game with some platforming thrown in. True, there are some classic Starfox shooting sequences, but they are very short, and resemble a minigame more than anything else.
As a game all by itself, it just isn't good. Like I said, it tries to be Zelda, but it isn't. There are no interesting dungeons or worlds. Most quests involve fetching something, bring it back, fetch something else, find someone, find something else....... (headache ensues). Not fun.
Then there's combat which is a matter of mashing the big green A button until the bad guy is dead. That's all there is to it. There is an alternate attack if you hold back on the analog stick, and Starfox twirls his stick around, but it actually does less damage, so it's ultimately pointless.
The only redeeming aspect of this game are the graphics. They are stunning in general, and are 2nd best I've seen for the platforming genre (First goes to Conker Live and Reloaded for the xbox, but Kameo for the Xbox 360 probably looks better). But, obviously graphics mean little when the gameplay sucks. They mean even less when you realize that graphics become outdated in a year or two (as I already stated, Conker looks better now).
I will admit however that some may like the game. Suprisingly a lot of reviews rate this game in the 8.x range. So rent it if you are really interested in it and decide for yourself.

This is one of THE MOST AWESOME FIGHTING GAMES EVER. I would sugest immediately buying this game. This has great battles in too. The bosses are really well-designed and creative.
When Star Fox and his gang find a planet in distress and are offered money by who else other the General Pepper himself, Fox McCloud engages himself in the madness of Dinosaur Planet.
Don't let a little kid play this. There is quite a bit of fighting and violince, a small amount of blood, some really gross battles and.. well, Krystal, Fox's crush, could really use a bit more clothing. A relationship seems to be starting between our hero Fox McCloud and Krystal. I wouldn't be surprised if they kissed in one of the sequels. Raregames, where are you? But anyway, romance is a BIG element at some point, so don't give it to kids who aren't that old yet. It's a great game though, and I really hope a sequel comes soon. This deserves a continuation.
