Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - mini games are great but the rest is sloooooow and boring
i would recommend not getting this game to anyone who has a life because to complete the entire game, you would probably have to play it for at least 50 hours. the story board mode is one player mode and each character has to beat a board game and challenge a "party host" to a mini game to get their present (and each character has like 6 presents that they need to get). if you don't get 1st place in the board game you have to do the whole thing over and it takes at LEAST a half an hour to complete a board game. i'm not even close to being done with that part and i've been playing it for like a year. if you ever DO accomplished that, there's also a multiple player mode which i haven't even attempted yet. the only part about this game that i like are the mini games - they're these fun little games you can play 2v2, 3v1, or 4 player; they're really fun and there are tons of them. everything in this game (besides the mini games) is extremely slow because it always focuses on the player's little actions like blinking and breathing instead of getting on with the game. i expected much more out of this game and i am very dissappointed in it.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Get the Party started
This is a greatly enjoyable multi-player game for the gamecube. I love almost every minigame it has, especially Booksquirm. They seem too simple, but hey, that's why they're so fun! The Bowser minigames are more dangerous as you could lose all your coins. I recommend to anyone wanting to have a good time!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Its a Real Party
This game is so entertaining! My friends and I have hours of fun on this game, trying different charactors, different items, different levels. We have hours of fun with this game on our get togethers. Sometimes we had to be torn away from the screen. It is a great party game and will give you something to do all day long. The objectives, obstacles, and rewards are a big yes, and the mini games are a real bonus! I recommend this to anyone!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - It looks like the prty has left Mario
Well, this review is coming from a long time nintendo lover and Mario party fan. I'm sad to say i'm disgusted with this game. I played the previous 3 too. With a lack of mini-games (And even less fun ones) this title will bore you to death. In the previous games, they were so hard they were fun. Now, it's TOO easy. Pathetic. If it's a weekend and you don't have chores/school/work you can pretty much polish off this whole game in one sitting. Don't get me wrong, it's OK, but compared to the others, this thing sucks like a leech. Save your money and buy a used N64 and Mario Party 1 (For less probably) and get more fun outta it. Either that, or wait untill it's 20$ in the bargain bin.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Bad
