Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - I hate it!
I hate this game, it has 2 more parts and the story doesn't make sense, it's super hard! and makes you epileptic, because you don't know what to do!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of the Best!!!
Besides RE4, this is still one of the best GC games around!!! The graphics and environments are awsome. This is coming from a PC gamer that has been playing First Person Shooters since the original Wolfenstien. Every Game Cube owner must add this game to the collection. Beats most current games, hands down!! Plus, it'll keep you busy for along time.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - highly addictive
Remember the good ol' days when you could sit back and just have FUN with a video game? You know, the days where you didn't have to worry about a lengthy storyline clogging up the space on the game disc? That's what makes Metroid Prime so irresistible. The game is entirely enjoyable. Everything about it. No other space-shooter on the market comes close to the enjoyment this game gave to me.

I wonder why Metroid Prime isn't listed as one of the best of all-time? Granted, it receives good reviews but never enough positivity to register number one status.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - this is the greatest game you could ever play
I bought this game 2 years ago and i still havent put it down yet. it lacks level replay, but playing through the game a second or third time is always funner than the last. i hear you ask why it is such a good game. ill tell you why.
1. it's graphics are absolutely stunning for a gamecube game. from the background enviroment to the close shots of samus's suit, the graphics will blow your mind.
2. it's enemys all have different and unique characteristics and ways to beat them.
3. the sound takes you into the game. no jokes. even if you've got a bad television, you will feel as though you were there where samus was standing and in that world.
4. it's got many, many, many puzzles to solve which are guided but difficult in their own different way.
5. by the end of the game you feel as though you have accomplished something. most games are beaten and the person is not very thrilled, but metroid prime gives you a good felling when you beat it.

the game does have problems though. there are few and easy to get past, but they are still there.
1. the aiming is a bit challenging since you do not aim with the C stick, but you hold the right shoulder button and look around with the control stick, disableing you from moving around.
2. the lock on ability doesnt work as well as some other games, because it does not seek out slightly out of range enemys. for example, the war wasp enemies hover above you, so you need to jump then hit the lock on button(left shoulder button). or aim up and then lock on.
3. nothing tells or explains what your next place to go is once you have finished one.
4. the levels follow a very straight path. there are doors in some rooms that lead to ammo or health, but other that, the levels are very straight forward.

that is all i have to say about metroid prime. the game is amazing. i highly, highly suggest buying it. i promise you will love it from start to end

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Masterpiece
Metroid Prime begins with bounty hunter Samus Aran arriving at an enemy spaceship. What follows is the best game I have ever seen.

Metroid Prime is the first 3-d game in Nintendo's popular Metroid series. When first announced as being a first-person game, it was expected to be little more than a cheap Halo clone. It surpassed expectations to no end and is widely considered one of the best games for the Gamecube. It looks quite like any normal FPS but is far different. The game place an incredible time exploring and solving puzzles than would normally expected. This doesn't mean that it is lacking in action. The boss fights are nothing short of amazing, and the enemies; from the gigantic sheegoths to the war wasps are works of art.

The importance the game puts on scanning and solving puzzles will likely put off most gamers looking for a shooter. Likewise, I would not advise anyone under the age of 8-9 to play or even watch this(Metroid games tend to get a bit Survival Horror). Nonetheless, this game is simply amazing and is far better than anything else I have ever played.
