If you read any reviews about how this is a remake or how amazing the graphics are, those people are talking about the first RE, not RE 2. The first RE for GameCube is almost completely redone. RE 2 is nothing but a port, and a rip-off. I'm not kidding; in 1997, RE 2 on PSone sold for $50. In 2000, the Dreamcast version was $20. And now, in 2003, RE 2 for GameCube is $40. This game has no new extras. In fact, it's actually missing old extras. Now, if you want to check this game out, just rent it.

This is an awesome game and I am a die-hard resident evil fan. I have beaten every game in the series and I own and saw the movie.I have every game for every system ever made so I think I know what I'm talking about. So this game is cool but kinda has the same graphics as Dreamcast. Nothing is really new like the Resident Evil 1 but if you are a die-hard fan like me then you better buy it. Oh yeah and the only reason the game got four stars is because of the graphics. If u are new to the series and have psone get the original resident evil if you can find it, it is awesome.

who cares if this game is just a port? Get the damn game if you haven't played it. This game is just as scary as RE:1 and RE:0 for gamecube altough it has old school graphics, all the horror effects are there. If your a RES. Evil fan, get this.

If you've played the Playstation or Dreamcast versions of this game then do NOT waste your dough on this re-re-re-release. Capcom is merely peddling the same product for an extremely high price. However, if you did NOT play any other version of this game and you own a Game Cube, RUN don't walk out and get this game...or get it here & save the sales tax. Not only will you not be disappointed, but you'll be so creeped out by this game you'll be forced to pass wind in front of others causing yourself much embarresment. That's why I suggest that if you DO buy this game, play it LOUD! You might also want to play this one in the dark late at night and burn candles to cover the scent of your poopsie wind. Especially if you've had a spicy meal prior to playing. And try not to play on a cushioned sofa. They would hold the smell. Play either on an uncarpeted floor or a hard seated chair, this way the air has a chance to escape before someone has a chance to connect you with the atmosphere you have created with your coolie. Thank you.
