Just a quick point of clarification. A KB is 1024 bytes and MB is 1024 KB, NOT 1000 KB as mentioned earlier. Computers are based on a binary system of zeros and ones, so a KB is 2 ^ 10 bytes (or 1024).

Throughout the history of Gamecube, there have been small first party cards and big, but unreliable 3rd party cards. The first nintendo 59 block card was actually a 4 megabyte(mb) card. 14.75 blocks is one MB (supposedly) and a 251 card was like 17 mb. A 1019 is a 69MB card. That is the best memory card for a console I've ever seen. It smokes the PS2's 8MB cards. The only thing that beats this card is the XBox's 8GB harddrive. (for those who don't know,a GB or Gigabyte is a 1000MB).

Im really not a big sports fan but mah lil bro is and he loves this it has so mush memory so he can create alot of characters cuz it takes up memory good for all sports fans also because sports games alone take up like 100 blocks

It always seems to be what Nintendo finally did, other smaller companies did for Nintendo's Gamecube awhile ago. With Nintendo's Memory card 1019, it carries much more memory than it previous 251 memory block card. This device seems to be more crucial than imaginative, especially for die hard gamers of the Nintendo Gamecube. The memory works very well, and the trust that Nintendo carries on this card is great. Although with all different kinds of memory cards available for the Gamecube at all different prices, many will stick with cheaper memory cards that aren't always safe for Gamecube owners. Try to stick with Nintendo and this memory card, or the cheaper 251 block memory card. You really won't be sorry.
